Friday, May 9th

Hello Biology Department!!

The Organization of Biology Grad Students will be continuing our new tradition and will be having another crawfish boil to celebrate the end of the year.
The delicious boil will be held at Stephen Richter's house this year on Friday, May 9th at around 6pm (next Friday!). Similarly to last year, I will be getting 40lbs of live crawfish to be boiled with zesty New Orleans spices along with potatoes, corn, sausage, mushrooms, onions and garlic. Yum. The boil is BYOB, but we will supply other drinks. Last year people also brought other Louisiana themed dishes such as gumbo, jumbalaya, and etouffe. So lets do that again and bring New Orleans to Richmond!
To help cover some of the expense, so I dont have to beg on the street or so I can keep it to three days a week, the dinner will cost $10 a head. Please drop off payments in envelopes (with your name on it) in my mailbox. If you can do this as soon as possible that would be very very helpful. This will also help me get a head count.
So clear your schedules, get your grades in, get packed for Belize and come and relax with some down south Nawlins goodness. If you've never experienced a boil before, you're in for some fun.

- Emily Gustin
