Graduate Studies

Welcome!  Our Department provides coursework and research opportunities leading to a Master of Science degree in Biology. For those with interests in ecology, we also offer an M.S. degree with an option in Applied Ecology. We have an excellent department consisting of faculty with a variety of teaching and research interests, including aquatic biology, animal behavior & ecology, plant systematics & ecology, wildlife & conservation biology, cellular & molecular biology, and microbiology. We offer a low faculty:graduate student ratio (typically about 1.5:1) and, as a result, faculty can work closely with students in all aspects of their graduate programs.
