Chimney Swift nest with young viewed from below
Chimney Swift 'fledglings' not far from their nest

An adult Chimney Swift incubating eggs (both males and females incubate & I'm not sure which this is).

Notice the cracks in the front two eggs; they're just starting to hatch.

Can you tell which one has just been fed?

Note the tape with the number 3 (attached by sewing through the shafts of the middle two tail feathers)
on the adult female (lower left). We do this so we can tell the adult male from the adult female when they
visit the nest.
Can you count all 7 young?

Fledgling swift just a few feet from its nest.
