KOS Spring Meeting
24-26 April 2009

Mammoth Cave National Park, 24 - 26 April 2009.

Accommodations at the park include lodge rooms, cottages, and the park campground. A block of lodge rooms is being held until 24 March at a rate of $75 per night. Cabins are available, but none are being held for the meeting. To make reservations, call 877-444-6777.

The featured speaker for the weekend will be Ted Floyd who is editor of Birding, the primary publication of the American Birding Association. More information about Mr. Floyd is available on the ABA website.

We hope that all KOS members have an opportunity to attend the spring meeting. The birding at Mammoth Cave is outstanding!

Fall 2009. Lake Barkley State Resort Park, 25-27 September 2009.

Spring 2010. Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, 23-25 April 2010.

Fall 2010. Paducah/Ballard Wildlife Management Area (dates to be announced).

Spring 2011. Barren River State Resort Park, 29 April - 1 May.


The Fall 2004 KOS meeting was held from September 17 - 19, 2004 at
Pine Mountain State Resort Park. Kathy Caminiti put together some photos taken during this meeting,

Birds in Forested Landscapes


North American Migration Counts are organized by county and are held on the second Saturday in May each spring throughout the nation. Lee McNeely is the state coordinator for Kentucky counts.
